Okay: Unveiling of the Marker: 450 Years of Augustinian Presence
Date: August 20, 2018
Where: Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino de Cebu
On August 20, 2018 marks the 447th anniversary of the discovery of the bust of Christ, Ecce Homo on the tomb of Rajah Carli. The thriving devotion to the Ecce Home, which is the second oldest religious relic in the country, next to the image of Sto. Nino, is gaining popularity to the Cebuanos. The Augustinians found it a demand of faith to continue its spread by honoring Jesus in his passion through the Ecce Homo.
A short conference will be held on this day at the Basilica Minore del Sto. Nino, requesting the presence the members of the different mandated organizations of the Basilica.
