Free Shower Program for the Homeless launched at the Basilica

Free Shower

The Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu (BMSN) in partnership with the Santo Niño de Cebu Augustinian Social Development Foundation, Inc. (SNAF) initiates a “Free Shower Program for the Homeless.”

This activity will be held every Tuesday and Thursday from 6PM to 8PM. Moreover, the program aims to give an opportunity to people without a roof to have access to proper shower rooms for cleanliness and hygiene.

The beneficiaries of this activity are those people living within the vicinity of the Basilica and are part of the Kan-anan ni Niño: A Soup Kitchen program of SNAF.

The free shower program is a wholistic approach to the development and aid for the children that also includes tutorial sessions and feeding program.

21 children initially availed the program on its launching day.

The program was launched on November 16, 2021 with the help of the interns from the St. Theresa’s College studying BS Social Work, who are working with SNAF.
