On April 28, 2019, after the closing mass of the National Youth Day 2019 held in in Cebu, the Papal Nuncio Archbishop Gabriele Giordano Caccia and Cebu Archbishop Jose Palma paid visit to the Magellan’s Cross.

They were welcomed by the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu (BMSN) community headed by Rev. Fr. Pacifico Nohara, OSA, BMSN Rector along with Rev. Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA and Rev. Fr. Ric Anthony Reyes, OSA.
