Sto. Niño: NAGA-tabang ug NAGA-uban Kaninyo

(Sto. Niño Pilgrim Visit and Relief Operation to Naga City)

To give hope and light to the landslide victims, the pilgrim image of Snr. Sto. Niño de Cebu was brought to Naga City.

“Ato gihatagan og paglaum ang ilang kinabuhi karon gumikan kay kahibaw kita nga naa na sila sa kabalaka.” Rev. Fr. Pacifico C. Nohara, OSA, rector of the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu (BMSN) said.

(We want to give their lives hope because we know that they are in worry.)

The pilgrim visit gave chance to the evacuees to venerate and offer their prayers to the Holy Child.

Rev. Fr. Nohara added that the visit is also a way of sharing the presence of Sto. Niño and letting the evacuees feel that He is with them.

“Atong gipaambit diri ang presensya sa Sto. Niño nga naa siya nag-uban kanunay.” Rev. Fr. Nohara said.

Meanwhile, the BMSN also conducted a relief operation during the pilgrim visit.

More than 400 families from Barangays Mainit and Tinaan were able to receive hygiene kits.

This is the second relief operation and pilgrim image visit to the city.

The first one happened last September 26, 2018.
