All of Us are Sinners and No One is Worthy

Today’s Reflection
Gospel: Lk 6:36-38 “Judging Others
March 18, 2019 | Monday

Today’s Gospel

Jesus said to his disciples:
“Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.

“Stop judging and you will not be judged.
Stop condemning and you will not be condemned.
Forgive and you will be forgiven.
Give and gifts will be given to you;
a good measure, packed together, shaken down, and overflowing,
will be poured into your lap.
For the measure with which you measure
will in return be measured out to you.”

Today’s Reflection

All of us are sinners and no one is worthy of his graces and blessings, yet through the mercy of God, He called us his children. Jesus compels us to become merciful to our brothers and sisters and gives us a good example on how to be merciful. Most often, we are so hard to forgive others and give no mercy to those who do not deserve it. But we are reminded that we are loved by God and that love covers all our wickedness, mistakes and failures. We are challenged to give out love and let love be our inspiration in giving other people a chance to live, a time for change, and lend our hand in supporting those people whom we cannot forgive. In the mercy of God, we can make wonders, a leap of faith and life-changing decisions and we can do the same to our neighbors.
