Readings for today

    1. Today our Gospel reading encourages us to never lose faith even in the midst of persecutions and injustices. We must continue praying to God, firm in believing that he always hears our prayers and that he will intervene in the proper time. Perhaps once in a while we do get the impression that God does not hear our prayers, particularly when we’ve been asking him for something for years and years now, and yet we have not received what we are asking for. The Lord assures us that God, even if he delays, will grant our prayer, especially when we pray for justice. Let us not allow the delay to dishearten us and weaken our faith in God. Let us pray continually not just for ourselves, but for one another, including those who make us suffer and sin against us.
