Readings for today

God does not want anyone of his sheep to be lost. We are God’s flock. He is our shepherd. He gathers us and carries us in his bosom. He seeks us when we are lost and rejoices greatly when we return to him.

Saint Augustine realized from his own personal experience that God loved him so much so that God searched for him and invited him to a relationship of love. It is us who seek God, but rather, it is God who seeks us. He has placed in our heart the love and restlessness leads us to seek Him.

In our modern world, each one of us is busy searching for happiness, and we turn to many passing things. But if we allow God to find us, we will find the joy of life that leads to eternal life.
