Today’s Reflection
Gospel: Lk 9: 43b-45
September 30, 2023 | Saturday
And all who saw it were astonished at God’s wonderful work.
But while all were amazed at everything Jesus did, he said to his disciples, “Listen, and remember what I tell you now: The Son of Man will be betrayed into hands the of men.” But the disciples didn’t understand this saying; something prevented them from grasping what he meant, and they were afraid to ask him about it.
Today’s Reflection:
When Christ came into the world, He knew His purpose and mission. He is the only individual born not to live, but to die, and He openly shared this with His disciples. Nevertheless, they were not yet ready to understand its meaning and reason for now not until His resurrection. Christ offered the greatest sacrificial act of worship to the Father sanctified by the Holy Spirit. He did this because of God’s love for humanity.
May we always respond positively to the love God is constantly offering us. God is really good. He is always at work in our lives even in our tumultuous moments. He is there working for our good because He loves us. May this also elicit love from us. /Vulnerasti, 2023.
