The Augustinian Province of Sto. Niño de Cebu in collaboration with the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu is one of the hosts of the Angat Kabataan Peace Camp 2018 organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The camp will take place from May 23 – 26, 2018 in Cebu City and Consolacion, Cebu.
The Youth Camp is the second leg of a series of peace camps organized by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in coordination with different government agencies and non-governmental organizations, and now in partnership with the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu, the Angat Kabataan Camp 2018 adapts the theme, “Pambansang Pagkakaisa Para sa Pamana (National Unity Through Heritage)”.
Camp organizers are inviting youth representatives from the different cultural communities and religions. The youth participants will be introduced to the history and practices of some cultural communities and religions that are existing in the Philippines. They will also be taught practices on conflict resolution by some cultural communities and religions. A tour of different places of worship as well as villages of cultural communities in the area will also be facilitated towards the end of the camp.
