Archbishop Osvaldo Padilla, DD, Titular Archbishop of Pia and Apostolic Nuncio Emeritus of Mongolia and Korea, presided the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

During the homily, Archbishop Padilla expressed his joy and gratitude to all the people who are gathered to celebrate with the seven Augustinian solemnly professed friars as they are about to venture another journey of becoming the leaders of the church.

The seven Augustinian friars are ordained to become the new propagators of Christianity in Cebu and in the whole world.

Priors and friars of the Augustinian Province of Santo Nino de Cebu- Philippines were also present to show their full support to the newly ordained deacons who will soon continue the path they are taking to life’s holiness.

The celebration of the Holy Eucharist is made to thank God for the gift of holy vocations, praying for the greatness and apostolate of the deacons in the church.

Rev. Richard Bryan Mijares, OSA said that our Mother Church tells us to fight for life, to fight what is right.

Family, relatives and friends accompanied the newly ordained deacons. Emotions were overflowing inside the BMSN church.

“The feeling is unexplainable, I cannot totally grasp what is really our feeling. Siguro so much joy and beyond words. Dream come true” Rev. Fredie Camilo, OSA said.

Through perseverance, dedication and commitment in serving the church, the newly ordained deacons continue to live their advocacy in helping the church ministry.

“If you’re happy with this kind of life, be with it; Happiness is your goal.” Rev.Camilo, OSA added.
