With the theme, “Mary: Source of Unity and Model of Communion, Participation and Mission,” the devotees of the Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture led by the members of Cofradia de Nuestra Señora de la Consolacion y Correa of the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño de Cebu (BMSN) gathered together to take part in the 345th fiesta celebration.

A Eucharistic celebration was held inside the BMSN church for the Solemnity of the Our Lady of Consolation and Cincture, the patroness of the Order of St. Augustine (OSA).

Rev. Fr. Eusebio Berdon, OSA, Prior of the Asia-Pacific Augustinian Novitiate community, presided over the mass and was concelebrated by the other Augustinian friars of the Augustinian communities in Cebu.

After the mass, a solemn foot procession honoring the Our Lady was held from the Sto. Niño church to the major streets of Cebu City, accompanied by the Augustinian friars, Cofradia de Nuestra Señora de la Consolation y Correa members and some Marian devotees.

May this year’s celebration of Mary, our Consoler, be our source of unity and model of communion, participation and mission that binds our heart and soul as we consecrate our lives to the Lord.
