The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) held a three-day National ID registration for the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu (BMSN) personnel and volunteers at the Colegio del Sto. Niño (CSN).

As part of the program of PSA, Basilica through the Human Resource Office negotiated with them to conduct registration for its employees and volunteers.

According to Angelica Raut-raut, Registration Center Supervisor of PSA, the National ID registration has three programs namely; (1) LGU based registration – where mall registration centers welcome people to have themselves registered; (2) Fix Registration – NSO-like registration where people can directly register; and (3) Institutional Registration – where an institution can request to conduct the registration within their premises.

The Basilica is under the institutional program of PSA.

Due to the implementation of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) in almost all provinces and cities including Cebu City, the registration centers were temporarily closed and have resorted to the institutional registration program instead.
