On August 20, 2017, the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu Community delivered goods and food packs to the fire victims of Barangay Calamba, Cebu City after their homes were burned to dust from a fire that happened on July 24, 2017. Over 200 families received the relief operation coming from various donations gathered at the Basilica. Rev. Fr. Pacifico Nohara, OSA, rector, and Rev. Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA, Director of BMSN Socio-Pastoral Office, spearheaded the Basilica Community in the distribution of goods together with the volunteers of the Church.
