The Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu (BMSN) was awarded in two categories in the 2018 Catholic Social Media Awards held at Siena College, Quezon City.
Best Parish Facebook Page and Best Parish Website were the awards given to BMSN.
Rev. Fr. Pacifico C. Nohara, OSA, BMSN Rector, expressed his gratitude for the awards the Basilica received.
“Una sa tanan, dako akong pasalamat sa mga volunteers sa mass media sa Basilica diin ang thrust sa community- to propagate the devotion of the Sto. Niño- atong gyud kining nakita karon nga dili lamang ang Basilica mao’y maka-testify niini kundili ang Catholic Social Media gayud nga mao’y nipili nga mahimong Best Facebook Page ug Best Website.” Fr. Nohara said.
(First of all, I am very thankful to the volunteers of the Basilica [Media Centre] wherein the thrust of propagating the devotion of the Sto. Niño is visible not only in the Basilica but it has also been testified by the Catholic Social Media who chose BMSN as the Best Facebook Page and Best Website.)
Fr. Nohara added that the recognition will also help in enhancing and improving the propagation of the devotion to the Sto. Niño which is their primary task as friars assigned in the Basilica.
