With the hope of propagating the devotion to the Ecce Homo and commemorating its 450th anniversary since its finding in 1572, the exhibit entitled, “Ecce Homo: Unfelt yet Present” was formally opened earlier today, August 17, 2022.
The ceremony was led by Rev. Fr. Nelson Zerda, OSA, Rector of the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu (BMSN) along with Rev. Fr. Basilio Sugata-on, OSA, Prior of the BMSN Community, Rev. Fr. Nestor Bandalan Jr., OSA, Director of the BMSN Museum and Library, Rev. Fr. Genesis Labana, OSA, Director of the BMSN Media Centre, and Dr. Clodoveo Nacorda, Commissioner of the Cebu City Cultural and Historical Affairs Office (CHAO).
Moreover, today is also the first day of the Triduum in honor of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Through the years, the presence of the Ecce Homo has been unfelt though it has always been present.
The exhibit located at the Old Basilica Religious Store is open to all pilgrims and devotees from Monday to Sunday, 8AM to 6PM. /Glimpses
