The Children’s Mass is a joyful and heartwarming highlight of the Fiesta Señor, where the pure faith of the young brings a sense of renewal and hope to the church.
On January 12, 2025 at 8:30AM, this special celebration, presided over by Rev. Fr. Antonio Nombrefia, OSA, brought together young devotees dressed as Niños and Niñas, their parents, and guardians, all united in expressing their unwavering devotion to Señor Santo Niño de Cebu.
A morning filled with blessings and devotion marked the mass, as Fr. Nombrefia reminded the faithful, “Let us put our hope in our Lord… the Señor Santo Niño, for He is our true hope.” He urged everyone to build their hope on the solid foundation of God’s love and promises, where true strength, peace, and joy can be found—gifts that nothing in this world can take away.
The Children’s Mass holds special significance in this year’s Fiesta Señor celebrations, centered around the theme, “Santo Niño: Hope of the Pilgrim Church.” It’s a celebration that goes beyond tradition, highlighting the role of children in inspiring renewal and faith within the church.
As the mass concluded, the message resonates the faith and innocence of the young are not only a source of joy but also a beacon of hope, urging the pilgrim church to move forward with renewed strength and trust in the Lord./Mary Giralyne Manolo and Melissa Arbuis, BMSN Media Centre volunteers
