Around five hundred students in the island of Kinatarcan participated in this year’s Flores de Mayo (Flowers of May) culminating activity held last June 2, 2019 at the Immaculate Conception Chapel in Barangay Langub.
The activity started with a eucharistic celebration which was presided by Rev. Fr. Genesis P. Labana, OSA.
A fun-filled program organized by the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu’s (BMSN) Creative Arts Ministry (CAM) followed right after the mass.
In exchange of the students’ participation in the Flores de Mayo celebration which highlights teaching basic catechesis to the young people, each of them was given a bag of school supplies.
The students went home with smiles on their faces and hearts filled with gratitude.
This year’s culminating activity was made possible through the efforts of BMSN’s Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion who provided the school supplies for the children along with the support of the BMSN community for their meals. (SMG/BMSN Media Centre)
