In an effort to preserve the Basilica environment, six (6) Pet bottles bins were donated to the church by Nature’s Spring Philippines on March 9, 2020.

This is a collaborative partnership between the two institutions to promote proper disposal of plastic bottles to pilgrims and tourists visiting the Basilica and mainly to preserve the environment through Nature’s Spring’s #Responsibottle campaign.

At the same time, this project supports one of the ten-point agenda of Sto. Niño at 500 Committee that is to conserve the church and its surrounding structures in time for the 2021 celebrations.

Present in the turnover of the pet bottle bins are representatives from the Basilica, namely, Rev. Fr. Pacifico Nohara Jr., OSA, rector, Rev. Fr. Aladdin Luzon, OSA, chair of the Committee on Sto. Niño at 500 and from Nature’s Spring, Atila Mariñas, event specialist of Philippine Spring Water resources, Inc.
