Outreach program reach 200 families and children

April 22, 2017 (Saturday) – Around 200 homeless families and children living around the Basilica were successfully catered and helped by the medical mission held on April 22, 2017 at the school grounds of Colegio del Sto. Niño. This is not only a one time medical mission activity but rather a systematic start of having a profile of the beneficiaries in order for them to be monitored regularly. The beneficiaries will be part of an integrated medical assistance program, wherein the children are the primary concern. The children will undergo a regular feeding program and later be assessed of their health status.

The medical mission was spearheaded by the Basilica Minore del Sto. Niño de Cebu Children’s Welfare Foundation, Inc. together with the support of other volunteer organizations, particularly the Rescue 160, BMSN Pilgrim’s Assistance Volunteers (BPAV), some teachers of Colegio del Sto. Niño, the Grand Siloy of P-RESA Scouting Organization, Medical Team of the Basilica and the Augustinian Fathers.
