Today’s Reflection
Gospel: Lk 1:26-38 “Announcement of the Birth of Jesus“

“Do not fear, Mary!” As a maiden, Mary must have been afraid of the greeting of the archangel Gabriel. She was young and innocent about life. But the angel assured her that there was no reason to be afraid for the Lord was with her. Thus, she accepted the Lord’s will and plan for her.
Certainly all of us go through experiences that scare us. Notwithstanding all the preparations that we make and training that we go through, there is still a chance that we would not succeed. The example of the Blessed Virgin Mary encourages us to put our full trust in God. Let Him be the one to guide us. Indeed, when we put our faith in the Lord completely, fear is taken away. Faith gives us courage and strength to do what God commands us to do.
