Today’s Gospel

No one, after lighting a lamp, covers it with a bowl or puts it under the bed; rather, he puts it on a lamp stand, so that people coming in may see the light. In the same way, there is nothing hidden that shall not be uncovered; nothing kept secret, that shall not be known clearly. Now, pay attention and listen well, for whoever produces, will be given more; but from those who do not produce, even what they seem to have will be taken away from them.”

Today’s Reflection:

We all have been gifted with skills and other good things in life. These we ought to share and not just keep for ourselves. The sharing and outpouring of one’s self to others is an act that is pleasing to God. What we have are simply what they do not. And what they have to share is oftentimes what we lack. This could be the reason why a person may be abundantly gifted while others are lacking; this is how sharing takes place and makes us realize that no person is ever in need of others. We simply have to depend on one another. We need others and God in life. May we always have the willingness to share and be humble in receiving help from others? /Vulnerasti, 2023.
